This is an upgrade kit that can be used to repair or upgrade an existing Sky2, Sky3, or Sky4 router. Note that if you already have a Sky4 router, this kit will not increase performance in any way. As such, it is only to be used as a repair kit if you already have a Sky4 router since a Sky4-to-Sky4 is not an upgrade. This kit will increase performance for anyone with a Sky2 or Sky3 model, so that is considered an upgrade.

This Sky4 Upgrade Kit walks you through identifying your existing Sky model. Once identified, the recommended upgrade kit version will be provided.

Note: the only vital distinctions are whether your current model has an Ethernet cable (POE), DC wires (DC), or internal antennas (LP) as this determines the sort of power connector and antennas needed in the upgrade kit. If still unclear of your specific model, contact WiFiRanger tech support with a photo of your Sky model after removing the lid.

The kit includes all necessary parts to swap out the component board, antenna(s), lid, and product labels. The existing case base and DC wires or POE cable must be in good condition for this upgrade kit to work. Contact WiFiRanger tech support if unsure of the condition of your existing Sky router or which kit is necessary to perform the upgrade.

    Broke my sky 3 antenna…..was surprised to see how flimsy the antenna wire attachment was under the rubber boot……decided to upgrade to sky4 rather than replace antenna. Haven’t used the 4 yet but will soon…..did use tech support for a set up problem and it was excellent.
