WiFi Range
One of the primary purposes of the WiFiRanger system is to connect to WiFi networks for internet access. This could be public WiFi from a variety of venues, or even private WiFi from a home or business (if you have the password). Some users do not require long-range WiFi reception from a rooftop-mounted WiFiRanger, but most do. Think about whether or not you want to boost WiFi range. If you do, then you would need long-range WiFi reception and broadcast. If you don't, then a short-range indoor WiFi solution will work for your needs.
